Industrial design (ID) is the professional practice of designing products, devices, facilities and services that are used daily by millions of people around the world.
Although they often overlap, each type of industrial design requires a certain set of design skills and techniques. Many designers specialize in one type; others focus on a set of related, similar types. But as the industry is constantly changing, designers need to be adaptable and learn for life in order to be able to change or add specializations throughout their careers.
